church camp.
june 8-11th
undoubtedly the highlight of june
save for RMUN,MONOPOLY ETC.
which means its not much of a highlight.
but no matter.

inevitably,
reflecting on this years camp,
summons recollections of yesteryears..
and placed in juxtaposition bring up
a host of differences.

yet.
the company i was in remains..
and so have joys and the pains.

well.
go-kart.
kayaking.
bridge.
cluedo.
taboo.
table tennis
squash.
rugby.
tennis.
futsal.
and adriels bed.


certainly.
the resort itself fell short of even
my lowest expectations..
but i was able to derive some fun,
and PLEASURABLE MEMORIES EVEN,
thanks to the fantabulous company i was in.

no thanks of cos,
to the food, which brought to mind
my stint in CHINA,
and DUH.
i fell pray to another bout of stomach flu
AND
it did not help that our toilets decided to revolt
SIMULTANEOUSLY.
and FLOOD WHENEVER FLUSHED.
a pity,
we did not think to use ARAMIS brand toilet bowls.

thank god too,
i had the presence of mind,
to avoid the go-kart course.
a miasma of catastrophe it was.
and i have no regrets keeping a distace,
at which i was nonetheless, repeatedly endangered


SHAME! SHAME!


in contrast to last year,
meetings were attended punctually,
and we actually awoke in the MORNING.
discipline.
benefits of living with my parents.

ALTERNATIVE MEANS OF COMMUNICATION
during bridge games.
these do not include names of the all blacks team.

and for all airheads,
names of ur favourite snacks are prohibited.

in addition,
BLUFF.
is a card game, where lying is the norm,
but cheating to such a mammoth extent
defeats the purpose of the game.
these include,
*using johns laptop of record rivals hands,
*stuffing cards into the seats.
*conveniently placing ur last card in the deck
*using cameras to video the cards in question.
*(pertaining exclusively to myself,) PLACING MORE THEN THE STATED NUMBER
OF CARDS INTO THE DECK.


all these,
debate was not forgotten.
me and josh had spar too =)

i have also realised,
a strange affinity i have with a certain BED.
when sweaty or STICKY or DIRTY,
it is my PLEASURE, to wipe this GRIME,
onto this CERTAIN BED.

the irony , is that it isn't MY BED.
so.
blood and thunder upon the occupant,
whomso reposes upon IT.

but still.
when i'm down to one last breath,
i WILL look back on these times.
when downtrodden and up to my knees in shit..
I WILL LOOK BACK
against rain and storm,
despite trials of all forms..
WHEN I'M ON THE BRINK OF DELIVERANCE..
i will look back .
and i will sae,
"those were good times."
